Garage (2012)

From May 23rd when the building was dropped off to October 25th when the Certificate of Occupancy was issued!

So this year I decided it was now or never and got rolling on a proper garage.

Here is the basic print.

On May 23rd the building arrived, it took us two hours to unload.

Using this! I found it on Craigslist after the individual I was counting on vanished three days before the building was too arrive!

Its Mopar powered with a 225 slant six!

Work starts.. The foundation had been dry a week before the building arrived, cutting it close!

Starting to look good.

May 27th, were really making progress eh?

June is warming up so a tarp to keep the sun and rain off...

Fitting the front wall.

I'm sure I'm doing something I shouldn't be.. Without that Lull forklift I'd never had made the progress I did.

Right before I started on the doors.

Insulated of course.

Getting ready to seal up the roof peak- Had to install 80 brackets with sealer and then two 20 foot long peak cap pieces.

Work would often go long into the night hours..

Detail of the garage door and support structure.

Starting to move cars in...

Now you know why there are 12 foot sidewalls.

Rear view (really exciting eh?)

Left front.

Building is complete aside from some interior stuff I want to do but I think that will be always ongoing ;-)
