Welcome Reddit visitors!

Several weeks ago I added a hit counter to see if people still visited the site and track some of the incoming traffic. I was curious this week as there was a huge spike on the 10th and followed it over to Reddit where there was comment thread going on labeled "Comic sans, web 1.0 and mopar!" 

A number of comments amused me (FRONTPAGE ALL THE THINGS!) but a few posters hit the nail on the head several times and I was impressed. 

The site is readable, it loads fast, nothing fancy to screw up a browser, no ads and everything is laid out in a logical manner. Or was. The site has grown and expanded a bit over the years and is due for reorganization. again.

Easy to operate as a hammer. How many websites have you visited and you can't locate what you are looking for in a few seconds? One of my biggest complaints of some business websites is how poorly they are setup. Amazon? Almost never use them for this reason. You do a search for a specific item and get 456,000, 999 hits on everything including the kitchen sink. Ebay is just as bad but at least you can adjust the search criteria to weed junk out a bit. Still you have to do research to figure out how to manipulate the search engine to find what you want! Crazy.

As to the color choices.. Well most of my work is done in the very early morning when its dark out and white background with dark text kills my eyes.

Editing- My very first website was done with notepad. I wanted to learn how to do html and I figured out how to make my own site by studying the code on other sites. Line by line the site was built. I figured out background colors, fonts, object placement, etc. For reasons of speed I moved over to Netscape's Composer under Win9x which was dreadful as it had a rude habit of randomly crashing and taking several hours of work with it. At that point I swapped over to Front Page 4.0 and have been there ever since. It works and gets the job done with a minimum of fuss and bother for me. I bet most people would be horrified to know I still use FTP 95 Pro to upload the files too! It works.

I still tend to size pictures and compress for modem speeds (56k), archaic I know. Old habits die hard.

Reddit users still here? Good. Feel free to toss me a suggestion or two on how to make the site better and I'll try them out.

Politics? Always been here. The more you leave me the hell alone so I can go about my business the less I pay attention to politics. It is nothing more complicated than that.

People at the helm on both sides of the aisle are busy running things into a ditch and I have nothing but loathing for both parties. The evil party and the stupid party. And I make no bones about it, the donks are evil. I can point out hundreds of examples. The GOP isn't much better and often in cahoots with the donks. As long as they get their turn at the levers of power once in a while they are happy to run things into a ditch too. 

This is why I love Donald Trump. He is exposing the Establishment Republicans (and by extension the Democrat party and media lackeys) for the meddling pukes they are. 

As someone else eloquently stated- You "conservative" "pundits" still don't get it: Trump isn't our candidate. He's our murder weapon. And the GOP is our victim. We good, now?

The burning times are coming; I can see it as plain as day in the future. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to draw a line from events that have been going on since the 60's till today and conclude things will end up in a bad place for my children.

Very bad. I don't know when it will start or where any more than people could predict when the Berlin Wall came done. But its coming unless something changes soon. 

Math is a harsh bitch, sooner or later the bill comes due... there is only so far you can kick the can down the road.

Ask yourself- If dems are so good running things.. look at cities where they are exclusively in charge? Should be utopias right?

Chicago.... Baltimore... Detroit... Need I go on?

My own home state is being run into the ground by the democrats.. people are fleeing in droves as the state taxes everything that moves and they continue to spend... and spend... and spend.. Only a few more years and I'll be joining the exodus. 

Does a state budget of $26.4 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR for a state of just 3.5 million people sound sustainable to you? And how many of those 3.5 million pay taxes?

Like I said, math is a bitch.

It is important for people to know they are not alone and more and more people are speaking out.

This is why "The Donald" is getting as much traction as he is.

The gap between the official narrative and reality is widening by the day.

Rampage update- Last week replaced four pistons, replaced the flat slider cam for a roller cam (one lobe was going flat on the slider) re-did the under hood vacuum harness into something less fragile, replaced the large can wastegate for a small can wastegate actuator (less boost) drained the fuel out of the tank and dumped in something that wasn't 4 years old, coolant flush, adjusted the kick down linkage and tinkered with the wiring a bit. 

Road test was uneventful aside from a awful number of squeaks and rattles. Boost is at a safe and conservative 5 pounds. Faith loves it and were going to work on it a bit this Saturday to fix some of the noise, fix the stuck speedo, install a radio antenna and if I have time rework a calibration more suitable for the engine package. Currently it has a swirl head calibration with a bathtub head engine and is very soft down low, needs about 10 degrees more timing.

You know how hard it was to find four new standard bore stock pistons for an engine only made 2 years? Ugh. Going to be a nice little cruiser with plenty of safeguards in place to make sure it isn't rattled to death again.

So 3 weeks ago the turbo on the CSX went south and it was back in the garage.. after a weeks work and over 16 hours this weekend alone it is back on the road.

Here is all that was done;

New turbo cart
New injector sub-harness (built myself)
New spark plugs (RN9YC)
New distributor pickup
New cap and rotor
New headgasket
New coolant reserve tank and used cap (was missing when I purchased the car)
New front crank seal (slight leak)
New 180 thermostat
New coolant sensor plug (looked suspect)
New intake half gasket
Underdrive pulley and 2 new belts
Change air filter to unit that was on Daytona
Changed charge air sensor
Blueprinted different distributor
Ported intake top half
L.O.F.
New EGT gauge and probe.

Cruise EGT is between 600-660C (1112F-1220F) and on a hard 12 psi pull in 3rd gear hit 810C (1490F) so clearly so far fueling isn't an issue.

The front crank seal was a PITA, someone had changed it at one time for a CR green seal and it was a difficult to extract. Ground down the seal retainer for the underdrive pulley (thanks Cindy!) and popped on a set of Autozone belts. I used 17410 for the PS belt and 372K4 for the alt. both of which are a little on the short side. You will find the adjustment with PS is right on the end and the alt was in the first 1/3 of travel and oil filter access was tight with a full size (PH43 sized) filter.

Didn't notice the random skip I was chasing but it wasn't a full time problem, I'll have to drive it for a week and see if it rears its head. Several parts were changed out just to eliminate them as possible factors. The car would "hiccup" on the HP peak of the motor, mostly in 3rd or 4th gear but I noted it once in 2nd gear too. The more load the engine was under the more noticeable it seemed to be.

Racing in 2 weeks! And I still have a few things to do.

Facebook Says It Didn’t Censor Content Undermining Zuckerberg’s Immigration Agenda, Was ‘Error’

Facebook claims it wasn’t censoring its users who wished to post studies using government-data job reports that demonstrate how mass migration has impacted the U.S. labor market—information that undercuts the political stance of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

I read an article about social media this morning and it dovetailed with something that Rush Limbaugh pointed out at one time. 

Facebook, MySpace and their ilk all promote a culture that is fake. People post pictures that don't show what their real lives are like and in some cases are outright frauds. The one article I read stated someone living in a basement Photoshopped their whole vacation! I guess it is the modern version of "keeping up with Jones" and its not healthy and a reason I shun social media now. People get disgruntled about their own lives trying to "keep up" with these false narratives instead of enjoying the lives they have. At Home Depot last night there was a young well dressed couple ahead of me buying a can of paint. The woman never interacted with the man nor looked around at her surroundings. The whole time she was face down in her smartphone flipping through Facebook postings. 

My own life is messy; I'm juggling 3 kids, a marriage, a job that is all too often hectic and utter chaos, a 100+ year old house that is always in need of something or some upgrade and a middle aged body that isn't always co-operative as it use to be. I tend to NOT focus on (nor post) the negative aspects of my life as it is too easy to fall into a negative mindset. Find the positive things in life and embrace them, deal with the negative and move on and try not dwell on them.

I'll also point out that Facebook is well known for filtering and blocking content. They see what they want you to see and anything against the narrative is filtered out. 

There is a reason Zuckerberg is rich; don't you find it odd the man is wealthy beyond anyone's wildest dreams for a company that produces nothing?

To be honest- I'm not optimistic about the new movie coming out.

I have heard enough chatter and seen enough in the clips to be pessimistic about how good it will be.

I'm sure it will make a pile of money regardless but so did The Phantom Menace.

There is a reason I'm not on Facebook anymore; not only do they data mine your life but are working to actively stifle any opposition to the open borders crowd.

What many people feel, congratulations for this woman for speaking up.

The question is why do the politicians who represent her feel Swedish culture is bad? I ask folks who praise "diversity"  do you really want Sharia Law, honor killings, gays being tossed off buildings, sexual child abuse and genital mutilation coming here? What is praiseworthy about women being treated like cattle? These "immigrants" are not going to assimilate to western values, they are going to bring their values from some 3rd world hell hole with them.

Random shots..

1) Been trying to pick up reading some Sci-Fi at night and so far disappointed. Baxter's "Evolution" was a tedious slog which I haven't bother finishing, Titan was far better. Star Wars "Honor among Thieves" was only slightly better. The same author duo did "The Expanse" series which have been fairly good but I found the writing style did not mesh well with the SW universe. The Han Solo adventures by Brian Daley are far better reading. The last novel is John C. Wrights "Count to a Trillion" which I'm finding to be a tough go as well. He has a wonderful style but so far the characters are doing nothing for me, I'm wondering if I just picked the wrong JCW book to start with? 

2) Going racing with the Duster this morning. The CSX is giving me fits over the random skip it has so the Duster was pulled out of storage. Cleaned the car, new voltage regulator in the dash, 10 fresh gallons of fuel and a new battery. Has not been to the track in 5 years and has a new cam, new overdrive transmission and larger carb. 

3) John Boehner gone? Good. I suspect he will poke us in the eyeball a few more times before he is out the door in October and the stupid party will try to get someone worse in his position. It will be interesting to see who ends up as speaker. I hear he was on the cusp of being forced out and the only way to save his seat was democratic party votes! That would have been awkward.

Redneck frame machine.

One of the projects I had on the back burner was a slightly tweaked frame rail on the CSX on the passenger side. The car aligned fine and tracked fine down the road but I had noticed a ripple in the sheet metal of the radiator support between the front motor mount and the passenger side frame rail. Setting the car up blocks of the same size showed that the rail was off 3/8" compared to the drivers side. I think the car hit or was run into at the passenger side bumper area and it pushed the rail downwards. There is no other evidence of damage aside from the ripple. After giving it some thought for a few weeks this is the solution I came up with and it worked out rather well. 

First the car was blocked on the trailer so the front rails were secure from moving. You can see the 4 x 4 post under the car which had a few blocks to make up the difference. Then the rails were chained down to the trailer to keep them from moving, the front motor mount was also chained to limit the area we wanted to move to the passenger front corner. I had made up a steel beam which was secured to the bumper shock mounting. From there it was a matter of sliding the jack in and going up very slowly as I was paranoid about cracking the new windshield.

After a few tries (you can see the tape measure in the picture) everything was where it was suppose to be. While the front end was under tension I got in the radiator support with a body hammer and you can't even tell where the ripple is now, its totally gone. For good measure we added two steel plates on the passenger side of the radiator support making a "sandwich' front and back since we are going to be beating on the car and wanted the area to be stronger than new. Turbo II Daytona's actually have a reinforcement plate across the front as they are expected to be taking some abuse.

After that we pulled the intercooler and radiator and installed a factory unit picked up a few weekends ago and stiffened up the front motor mount to limit engine travel (wheel hop insurance)

I pointed out to a co-worker that if I showed up with "a clock" under my arm at the white house or any federal building for that matter I'm fairly sure I'd be tackled and about a half-dozen agents would haul me off for questioning.

Car stuff- Been trying to wrap up getting rid of the GLHS parts car so I can get the CSX ready for Cecil County in November. Nothing terribly exciting besides that, getting rid of excess parts is always a long process which sucks. Tried Craigslist and its maddening the number of people who are an utter waste of time. Few more weeks and I'm just going to start tossing out what ever is left as I have to move along with other projects and winter is coming. 

And there is goes.. Front clip is on its way to Massachusetts to save another car that took a hit.

Pity it had to end this way, tried to save as much as we could. 

I'm still in the "took a bath" category on this one, will still be a few months before I break even let alone make a buck. Counting labor its all bath territory. I needed no parts off the vehicle and its time I could ill afford to waste.

Time to move on to another project.

I came to this conclusion a few years ago and the reverse is also true. If the second amendment is in place to keep bureaucrats in place then by default bureaucrats are going to do their best to make it go away as a threat to their power. For the last several decades the various government groups have gone out of their way to curtail the guaranteed rights of citizens. Explains a lot doesn't it? When people talk to me about "reasonable gun control" I point out to them that back in the day is was perfectly acceptable to own a warship with cannon, what part of "shall not be infringed" is unclear? They usually shut up and go away.

A Tennessee judge has ruled he cannot grant a divorce to a gay couple since the supreme court has ruled states have no idea what marriage is. So it stands to reason that if a state is not allowed to define marriage then it cannot define divorce either. Just outstanding. I lift my hat to the judge in question!

I don't know who Fred is but can't disagree with what he states. Most modern art is horrible dreck. 

3) The coming of Trump. 

What is interesting is the author points out how Australia is dealing with illegal aliens by telling the un-elected judges to get stuffed and just deporting them. Seems to be working, one can hope Trump takes note.

Out of town for a few days on holiday, was a nice break from the stress of it all. 

Visited Vermont this month- Took in the scenery, did a bunch of driving, checked out some towns and stores and generally had a good time. And picked up some car parts for good measure. 

Going to try and keep pictures on this page limited to 500 pixels wide to keep things uniform and fast loading. Still tinkering around with things a bit.

I find it hilarious and disturbing how much support an unrepentant communist is getting.

I also find it baffling how supportive of the democrats the LGBT lobby is. Don't they know that democrats are supportive of and actively importing people who will kill LGBT dead by tossing them off buildings? Short term thinking vs long term thinking I guess. If one goes by history it WILL NOT end well for them (LGBT lobby) and the general population grows weary of their antics. Its one thing to say "let me live in peace" which most people can get behind.. but that is not good enough for the gay lobby... you will celebrate our perversions or else is the message. Good luck with that when the poop hits the fan. 

I always wondered why some politician has not taken the position "if its good enough for Mexico its good enough for us!" Hard to be called a racist when you are just mirroring what is going on there.

Fixed the truck yesterday- New muffler, got the downstream O2 loose (emissions is due) so we can change it out next week and ordered a new rocker panel. Plan on grinding out the rust, welding it in place and painting the lower section with chip guard paint. Old girl is showing its age with 159k on the clock but still runs like a champ.

Biden running for president with Obama's blessing, I called this weeks ago- The Clintons and Obama hate each other. The fact that the FBI is investigating grifter Clinton is all you need to know along with the deafening silence from the Obama camp about the presidential race and endorsement. I'm fairly confident that granny Clinton will drop out of the race and not go to jail as long as she keeps her mouth shut. I'm fairly confident that the fake indian Elisabeth Warren is going to be Biden's running mate, the media has been grooming her for months. 

I think were looking at the Republican side here; but its still early. Trump is utterly cutting the GOP field to ribbons for weeks; Love him or hate him there is no doubt the reason he is rich is from his shrewd eye on the issues. He is running circles around the other candidates and a few have managed to set themselves on fire saving him the trouble. I think when he is done bitch slapping the GOPe around we are going to see a Trump-Cruz ticket. I have no interest in the Trump "cult of personality" some people say exists, the man fights and does so effectively and is pushing things in the direction they need to go. The upper levels of the GOP clearly is in bed with the democrats and ignoring the people who put them in office.

So if they don't wish to have families or be home makers for lack of a better term at the moment what's left? Follow the train of thought to its final station. If your existence revolves around sex (and if you study the media, sex is constantly pushed at people 24/7, traditional values not so much) what happens when you grow old and... no one wants to have sex with you? Best stock up on cat food, alcohol and anti-depressants. Lets be blunt here; desirability to some degree is at its peak when you are young and fabulous looking. I have no illusions at 50 years of age when my peak physical attractiveness was reached. 

Do I have "more game" at 50? Yes.  Experience will do that. But man when I was younger.. but I digress. 

 I have always been fascinated "why" things work, it makes me a good mechanic and I have always been a student of history. I came to the conclusion after my daughter was born that there is a reason "traditional values" exist.. Because they work and work well. Men and woman are complimentary partners not antagonists in the journey of life. Women tend to be nurturing and caring (think of female dominated occupations; teachers, nurses, day care, hotel services) while men tend to be the protectors, builders and providers (think of male dominated occupations; police, firemen, farmers, businessmen) its just the way our DNA is wired.

I provide for my family and I do my best to keep them safe and I'm perfectly comfortable in that roll. Some of my greatest moments of contentment are when the family is together and we are having dinner with everyone just going back and forth having a good time. 

So lets go back to the modern feminist movement shall we? If you are a man looking for a partner in life what does the modern woman offer you? Lets be blunt, she is going to expect things from you and its a two way street unless you like being a doormat. If the modern woman can only offer sex as her primary value what happens when her best physical years are behind her? Would it be any surprise that the male in the partnership would take off seeking a younger more nubile woman? No.

One of the reasons I got married was to practice what I'm preaching, to be the ultimate example for my children. My wife is a wonderful woman who treats me like a King and I treat her like a Queen. We both have incredible respect for each other and it is the most drama free relationship either of us has ever experienced. Hopefully our children will take note of this dynamic and emulate the best of it when they grow older. 

I look forward to Trump continuing to beat the hell out of the media and GOP, exposing them both for what they are.

Unless Trump drops out, I think the race is his for the taking. People state he is a clown but one does not become a billionaire by being an idiot clown in the New York market. Also I like to point out with a smile, you are going to call the man a clown and tell me that Obama and Biden are serious people? 

The GOP clearly isn't working for the people anymore; they have done NOTHING to stop the Obama train of destruction and have aided and abetted him at every turn. As a party they need to go the way of the WHIGS and be consigned to the dustbin of history.. I'd love to see a Trump/Cruz ticket.

For the record, the GOP hated Ronald Reagan too, he had to take over the party to get elected president. And as soon as his second term was up they started running squishes again even after Reagan showed them how to win!! This is one reason people are gravitating towards Trump. He campaigns just like Reagan did; America needs to be strong, Americans are good people, Americans is an exceptional nation. Compare that to the crap the democrats are putting out or the incoherent mumbling of Jeb Bush.

1) Done with the social media crap, bye-bye Facebook. Take your "community standards" and stuff them up your rectum. I have never seen such a stupidity multiplier and time waster in my life.
